Pourquoi utiliser des lunettes laser ?
Il est crucial de prendre des mesures de protection lorsqu'il s'agit de lasers de faible puissance (≤1mw) car ils peuvent causer des dommages cumulatifs aux yeux. Pour les lasers avec des puissances de sortie supérieures à 1 mw mais inférieures à 0,5 w, les faisceaux laser directs ne peuvent être visualisés qu'avec des lunettes de protection laser. Dans le temps de réflexion clignotant d'environ 0,25 s, le laser de sortie peut causer des lésions oculaires. Pour les lasers d'une puissance > 0,5 W, une exposition directe au faisceau lumineux ou même à la lumière réfléchie peut causer de graves lésions oculaires. Par conséquent, des mesures de protection strictes doivent être prises lors de l'utilisation de tels lasers. Les opérateurs ne doivent pas porter de lunettes de protection laser lors de la manipulation de ces lasers.
